Let’s Make A Mess (but can we keep it tidy, please?)
So we’re on the road…again! I had a nice little 3 week break after 3 1/2 months of touring. It was far too short, but I’m not going to bore you with my whining about being on the road…or actually, maybe I will!
Not sure why the tour is called, “Let’s Make A Mess,” but, to be honest, I’m not awfully fond of the idea of making more of a mess than we usually do! The van is a pig-sty - it always is, and it’s difficult to have it be any other way.
Besides that though (and maybe a few other things), I’m thoroughly enjoying myself. The shows have been great. It’s so nice to play the new songs, they translate really well in the live setting. That was one of our intentions when we were writing the record, we wanted it to “rawk” well at the shows. And it’s proving to be the case.
The pre-show hangs have been WAY less awkward than I had anticipated. We’re lucky to have such non-crazy, non-creepy fans. Thanks for being cool dudes and gals, if I have met you! By the way, that goes for everyone except for the 15 year old girl who was hitting on me in LA by calling my hair, “fierce.” Trendy word, Jefree Star would be proud! You were obnoxious and smelled as though you had bathed in cheap perfume. I speak openly to you, because I know you won’t be reading this. You were far too cool to have heard of any bands that were playing.
Looking forward to playing more music and meeting more people/characters at our shows!

This makes me proud to be their fan and this is only a little bit of why I love them so much. They made my summer so much more amazing and I could say thank you a million times and I still don’t think anyone would understand how much their set and meeting them afterwards meant to me. They’re one of the only bands I have faith in anymore.
I don’t know any other band who would openly call out some teenie too maybe some girls who read this, which I doubt these kind of girls will but anyways, maybe it will give them a reality check to maybe put some standards into themselves and look up to some better people as role models. ‘Cause looking up to J*, The Millionaires, Brokencyde, etc. will get you no where in life.
